Check the names behind the care

For Orlando care, start with the person checking your health and the pharmacy supplying the medicine. Ask for the names behind the plan.

Start with the public record

Florida’s health department offers a free search for care licences and details about doctors, nurses, and other health workers. It also shows official penalties or restrictions on a licence.

A licence record without official penalties does not measure the quality of care.

Get both full names: the person treating you and the pharmacy. Keep them beside the written treatment plan.

Care through a phone, video call, or online form is called telehealth.

Check a Florida care licence

Use this short check before relying on a name or a badge.

  1. Ask for the names

    Ask whoever treats you to give their full name, job, and licence or registration number. Write these down.

  2. Read the Florida record

    Open the Florida licence search from Further reading. Compare the name and current licence status with what you were given.

  3. Check care from another state

    If the person treating you online is based in another state, compare their name and registration number with Florida’s public registration information.

  4. Check the pharmacy too

    Ask the pharmacy to identify its Florida permits. If an extra permit is hard to find, ask the pharmacy and state board to help confirm it.
